Reach Out

For twelve long years, a woman has been sick — and no doctor could help her. But when she hears that Jesus is nearby, hope flickers back to life: if she can just reach out and touch the edge of His cloak, she knows she’ll be healed. Push through the crowd with us in this episode to discover what happens when we never give up, believe in Jesus’s power no matter what, and find the courage to tell Him the whole truth. Based on the healing of the woman of great faith in Mark 5:25–34 (also Matthew 9 and Luke 8), it’s a story about a Savior who doesn’t just heal us — He calls us close and names us His own.

For grown-ups
This is a story about persistent faith and about being fully known. The woman had every reason to give up after twelve years, yet she kept reaching for Jesus, and He did not just heal her body, He stopped everything to call her "Daughter" and welcome her home. This week, gently remind your child (and yourself) that God never tires of us reaching out to Him, and that He longs not simply to fix what is broken in us, but to truly know and love us.
